Oberwesel

My main poster from the fine-arts conference "Creative Connections." I put the small text in there mostly because I needed an explanation for why I had done a picture of this old German town, and that reason is because old things inspire me.
The Rhine-side town we stayed at for Creative Connections was called Oberwesel, and from what I can tell it had some old-world charm to it. Not that we had the chance to go and explore, though the place we stayed at was just down the road from Schloss Schönburg (A small castle).
Ironically, the timber-frame buildings in the foreground are from Bacharach, the town up- or down-river from Oberwesel (but the castle in the background is the one we were next to). I didn't know this when ~Aetherpunk gave me the picture to use, so props to him for going to cooler-looking places and letting me use the picture.
